Anna “Bandana” Crutchfield (who now competes under her married name, Anna Melisano) defeated Blanca “Pura Sangre” Medina via first-round knockout at 3 minutes and 28 seconds of Round 1.
The professional strawweight bout took place on February 7, 2025, as part of the main card at Fury FC 101 at Gilley’s in Dallas, Texas.

• Anna Crutchfield (Melisano): A long, technical strawweight standing 5’6″ with a 70-inch reach. She entered the bout as a heavy -450 betting favorite on the heels of a strong Muay Thai foundation. 

• Blanca Medina: An aggressive and powerful 5’4″ strawweight representing Spain. Known for her explosive hand speed and brute strength, she entered the cage looking to neutralize her opponent’s reach advantage.
  

• The Opening Exchange: Medina started the bout with high aggression, surging forward with rapid four- and five-punch combinations. Her quick hands and fast counters initially paid off, landing hard shots that briefly stunned Crutchfield. 

• The Strategic Adjustment: Crutchfield relied on pre-fight film study. Recognizing that Medina consistently dropped her right hand whenever she threw a jab, Crutchfield timed the opening perfectly.
• The Finish: Crutchfield unleashed a devastating left high kick that landed cleanly on Medina’s head, instantly dropping her to the canvas. Crutchfield immediately moved in to unload a barrage of strikes against a highly vulnerable Medina. Medina tried to swing back defensively, but Crutchfield closed the show with a definitive right hand to force the referee stoppage at the 3:28 mark.
