Jean-Paul “Mufasa” Lebosnoyani defeated Kegan “Machine Gun” Gennrich via submission (triangle choke) at 4:00 of Round 1 in the welterweight main event of LFA 206 on April 11, 2025.

The bout at LFA 206 served as a high-stakes 170-pound clash between two former lightweight title competitors seeking to climb back into major promotion consideration. Lebosnoyani, a lifetime Gracie jiu-jitsu black belt, completely derailed the former LFA champion Gennrich by forcing a tactical error on the feet and executing a flawless submission trap on the canvas. 

• The Striking Battle: Lebosnoyani opened the round showing significantly improved, powerful boxing. He connected with crisp punches that quickly accumulated damage on Gennrich, visibly shaking the former champ. 

• The Desperation Takedown: Desperate to escape the heavy combinations on his feet, Gennrich changed levels and went for a sprawl-and-brawl takedown. He successfully dragged Lebosnoyani to the mat, inadvertently playing directly into the challenger’s world-class ground game.
• The Trap & Finish: The moment his back hit the canvas, Lebosnoyani threw up his guard and immediately locked in a deep triangle choke. He hooked his leg beneath Gennrich’s own leg to isolate him, pulled down on his head, and tightened the squeeze. With nowhere to escape, Gennrich tapped out at exactly the four-minute mark.
