Islam Dulatov defeated Vanilto Antunes via first-round knockout (elbow) at 2:44 of Round 1 during Week 9 of Dana White’s Contender Series (DWCS) Season 8 on October 8, 2024. The dominant, viral performance earned Dulatov an immediate UFC contract.

• Early Aggression: Standing 6-foot-3 with a 75-inch reach, Dulatov utilized his massive welterweight frame immediately. He applied blistering pressure right from the opening bell. 

• The Setup: Roughly 30 seconds into the bout, Dulatov landed a heavy right hand that visibly staggered Antunes and forced the Brazilian fighter to shell up against the octagon fence.
