The first fight between Jan Błachowicz and Bogdan Guskov ended in a majority draw (29–28, 28–28, 28–28). The highly entertaining light heavyweight bout opened the main card of UFC 323 on December 6, 2025, at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Round-by-Round Breakdown

  • Round 1: Błachowicz established control early by utilizing a systematic, technical approach. He repeatedly damaged Guskov’s lead leg with heavy calf kicks and managed the distance with a stiff, powerful jab. A sharp 1-2 combination from Błachowicz even knocked Guskov’s mouthpiece loose, comfortably securing the former champion the first round.

  • Round 2: The momentum swung drastically. As Błachowicz moved forward, Guskov countered beautifully by evading a jab and landing a massive straight right hand that knocked Błachowicz down. Błachowicz attempted to survive by fishing for a heel hook, but Guskov remained composed. He assumed top control and rained down a brutal onslaught of ground-and-pound punches and elbows. This dominant display earned Guskov a 10–8 score from two of the cageside judges.
  • Round 3: With the fight on the line, Błachowicz turned up the pressure against a visibly tiring Guskov. Błachowicz mixed up targeted body attacks with heavy hooks. In the final ten seconds of the match, Błachowicz landed a definitive strike that knocked Guskov down against the cage. He followed up with a flurry of punches as the final horn sounded, rescuing a draw on the official scorecards.

Post-Fight Aftermath

Due to the inconclusive and thrilling nature of the bout, the UFC immediately booked a rematch. After a postponement caused by a meniscus injury to Błachowicz, the pair are officially scheduled to run it back at UFC Belgrade on August 1, 2026.
