Tallison Teixeira defeated Tai Tuivasa via unanimous decision (29–28, 29–28, 29–28) on the main card of UFC 325 on January 31, 2026, at the Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney, Australia.
The heavyweight matchup went the full three rounds, marking the first time in Teixeira’s career that he fought past the first round.

Round-by-Round Fight Breakdown

  • Round 1: Teixeira used his grappling early, securing a takedown just 15 seconds into the fight. He controlled Tuivasa against the cage, took his back, and eventually transitioned into full mount while landing ground-and-pound. Though Tuivasa was heavily defensive, he managed to explode back to his feet late in the round and throw heavy punches before the horn.

  • Round 2: Tuivasa came out as the aggressor. Teixeira appeared visibly slowed down by the pace, looking labored in his movements. Tuivasa landed a hard right hand that cracked the Brazilian, but Teixeira remained composed, answered with his own combination, and successfully timed another crucial takedown to kill Tuivasa’s momentum.
  • Round 3: Running completely on fumes, Teixeira endured a hellacious comeback attempt from Tuivasa. “Bam Bam” threw massive hooks and heavily rocked Teixeira, putting him on wobbly legs. Teixeira survived the barrage, and as the round progressed, Tuivasa also ran out of energy. The fight ended with both heavyweights completely exhausted.
